ACCME accreditation seeks to assure both physicians and the public that continuing
medical education activities jointly sponsored meet the high standards of the Essentials for
Accreditation as specified by the ACCME. The function of the ACCME is the accreditation of
providers whose CME activities attract a national audience.
All activities are planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through joint sponsorship.
